The Aparto Barcelona Pallars student residence marks the entry of Hines and Henderson Park into the Spanish student housing market, with an investment of close to €100 million. Located in Barcelona’s dynamic 22@ district, it is operated by Aparto, Hines’ international student accommodation platform, which is now expanding into Spain with its first residence in Barcelona.

The property, now owned by Commerz Real, was acquired in 2021 and represents a successful collaboration between several international real estate players. Designed by the renowned architecture firm Batlle i Roig, the residence stands out for its commitment to environmental, sustainability and energy-efficiency standards, making it a benchmark for student housing in Europe.

This impressive property covers 26,000 square metres and includes a wide range of facilities, from a 40-metre infinity pool to themed gardens such as the Butterfly Garden and the Garden of Scents. In addition to outdoor communal areas such as the rooftop terrace, the residence has more than 2,000 square metres of indoor space, including a fully equipped gym, cinema rooms, study rooms, a theatre and a bar, providing an ideal environment for both study and leisure.
