How we approach aerial drone filming

From briefing to delivery, with the same team of pilots and editors.

  1. Step 1: Briefing

You tell us what story you want to tell, where and for which channel, and we propose the approach, team and schedule.

  2. Step 2: Flight plan and permits

We study the location and the airspace and handle the necessary authorisations.

  3. Step 3: Filming

Certified pilots fly with the right kit for each shot: cinema drone, FPV or ground camera.

  4. Step 4: Editing and delivery

Editing, colour, music and titles, or the raw footage, in whatever format you need.

What kinds of projects can benefit from drone filming?

Drone filming is ideal for a wide variety of projects: from film productions and music videos to social events, advertising campaigns, infrastructure inspection and tourism promotion. Thanks to their versatility and ability to capture images from the air, drones add value in any audiovisual format.

Do I need special permits to film with drones at an event or on private property?

In general, the necessary permits are handled by the professional drone operator, who must be authorised by AESA and coordinate the flight conditions in line with current regulations. On private property, the owner's consent is required, and at events a safety plan or coordination with local authorities may be needed.

What is the difference between drone filming and traditional camera filming?

Drone filming delivers aerial shots, smooth camera movements from varying heights and perspectives that are impossible to achieve by traditional means. It does not replace ground filming but complements it, adding visual dynamism, spectacle and a more narrative, immersive approach.

What resolution are drone videos filmed in?

At Droneit we work with drones carrying professional cameras that record in 4K, 5.2K or RAW, depending on the needs of the project. This quality is ideal for film and television as well as for corporate, advertising or personal event content.

Can you broadcast live from the drone?

Yes, we can broadcast live in 4K from our drones, which is especially useful for sports events, festivals, conferences or launches. This technology shows an aerial perspective in real time, with complete stability and professional quality.

How long can a drone fly during a shoot?

Flight time depends on the drone model and the conditions, but it is usually between 20 and 30 minutes per battery. On longer projects we bring several batteries and charging stations to ensure continuous coverage without interruptions.

What safety measures are applied during filming?

All our flights follow a rigorous safety protocol that protects people and property. Our pilots are certified and assess factors such as airspace, weather conditions and proximity to sensitive areas before every flight.

Can you combine aerial shots with ground filming?

Yes, we have ground crews to film interviews, close-ups, interiors and other material that complements the aerial content. This lets us deliver a complete, coherent production tailored to the client's narrative or commercial needs.

What formats are the videos and photos delivered in?

We deliver the material in the industry's most common formats, such as MP4, MOV or ProRes for video, and JPG, PNG or RAW for photography. We can also include edited versions or raw files, depending on the client's preferences or how the material will be used.

What is the difference between aerial photography and photogrammetry?

Aerial photography aims to capture visually appealing images from the air, whereas photogrammetry uses those images to build 3D models, topographic maps or accurate measurements. Photogrammetry is used more in engineering, architecture and construction progress monitoring.

Can you film outdoor events or activities with a drone (weddings, jumps, corporate events and so on)?

Yes. We film social, sports and corporate events from the air, always in line with current drone regulations and handling the necessary permits for each location. We can deliver the raw footage or a professionally edited final video.

Can you make promotional videos or facility showcases with a drone?

Yes. We make short videos and aerial features showcasing facilities, companies or projects. We can combine aerial shots with ground footage for a more complete, professional presentation.

Do you only deliver raw footage, or do you also offer video editing?

We can deliver unprocessed footage or take care of the full edit, including editing, colour, music and titles. The final format is tailored to its intended use, such as corporate videos, social media or websites.

Do you offer aerial photography and video for the real estate sector?

Yes. We offer drone photography and video to show properties from the air, for both sales and lettings. We deliver high-resolution material ready to publish on property portals or real estate websites.
